Last Show
I’d like to apologize to everyone who came to our show last Friday. We never imagined we’d have to cancel the show and I apologize to everyone who came out and paid to see us play.
What Happened?
I got to the club early because our band was providing sound for the night. Our friends band, Chaos Theory was opening the night.
Everything was going smoothly. We went across the street to take some band photos for no more than 5 minutes. When we started walking back to the club there were two guys walking to their car shouting. One of them was shouting that he was going to come back with a gun and shoot the place up.
I then realized there was a fight and I figured it was probably between that guy shouting and one of the patrons of the club. When we got to back door one of our friends said that our door guy nicknamed “G” was hurt. I looked around the corner and “G” was laying on the floor in a pool of his own blood. The back of his head was split open, his nose was cut, his left eye was swollen shut and bloody.
When “G” told the guy who was twice his size that there was a $5 cover charge he decided rather then pay the cover, or go somewhere else, he’d beat our friend almost to death.
When I saw “G” lying on the floor I immediately went up to the mic, interrupted the opening band, and told everyone the show is over. 1. because I feared our friend was going to die and 2. because I then took was those guys said seriously when they had mentioned they were going to come back with guns.
I apologize to anyone who came out to see us and paid the $5 cover. We gave 100% of the money to the opening band and kept $0.
That being said, anyone who was at our last show and paid the $5 cover will not have to pay the cover charge at our next show. Just let us know that you were at the last show and we will let you in free of charge.
Also, it looks as though the NYC show will be postponed because the promoter has passed away in a car accident. We will keep you posted. Thank you!
