LifeForce Records

When I released my record with Herod in 2006 I got more press than one person could ever imagine. LifeForce Records, http://lifeforcerecords.com, (starting point for such bands such as Trivium (yes, i said Trivium!) did an overwhelming job of promoting Herod that I’m still trying to figure out if I was on an Indie Label or Major. Before Herod I was usually on my own or with small labels, but here I was on the same label with the likes of Trivium! Not only that, a label that was capable of getting my CD in Walmart and Best Buy which even some major label bands have a hard time with. It’s hard to describe the feeling when you go into walmart across the street from your house and see your CD sitting on the shelf. You want to yell in the store and say “HEY!! I’m on this record FUCKERS!! I RULE!!” It was a great feeling.

I felt kind of bad for lifeforce because once I came along and added my old school Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Dio Vocals to Herod I automatically alienated us from the usual Metalcore type band, Lifeforce release. But hey, they listened and put our record out. So thank you lifeforce for everything, the promotion, the reviews, and for giving this vocalist his 15 minutes of fame.

The only regret I have is that I didn’t get the opportunity to go to Europe. No offense to the U.S. but every metal head knows that Europe is the place to be. Especially for vocalists that sing melodies. I hope that changes one day but until us Americans start listening to music we like and not music that we’re told to like or that’s shoved down our throat we’re never going to change.

And it’s just not with music..
